The Bring It On exhibition

Last month, 15 of our year 6 students, who had been chosen by an application process, went on a day trip to the Beacon of Light in Sunderland to attend the Bring It On exhibition. At the event, there were dozens of professionals from the fields of science and technology who were keen to talk to pupils, answer lots of questions and give them some hands-on experience of their jobs. This is the third year that we have attended this event and all pupils had a lot of fun whilst exploring career possibilities. It certainly opened our pupils' minds to careers within STEM subjects that they might not have thought about. Following the trip, pupils then made a presentation back at Mowden to parents and have also presented to a whole school assembly.
