Year 5/6 Boys Football

Mowden’s A Team took part in the recent Darlington Schools Champions of Champions Cup, having won their qualifying league with wins against Reid Street, Holy Family, and a hard fought draw against Whinfield, to secure qualification. The competition was held on Monday 27 th June at Longfield School, with the other schools who qualified being Hurworth and St George’s.

In the first game, they faced a very talented St George’s side who ran out 3-0 winners. In our final game, we played Hurworth and won 1-0. This meant we had finished 2nd overall in the town.

Well done Boys and congratulations on a great season, it has been a pleasure taking to you to all your fixtures and competitions.
